MotoGP world champion helps one of the most promising Hungarian sporttech startups to grow in the motorsports business

Gábor Talmácsi, the world champion of the MotoGP 125cc category in 2007, supports Seyu with his decades of business experience

16.04.2021. According to the official announcement of the two sides, an extensive cooperation was signed between the MotoGP 125cc world champion Gábor Talmácsi and one of the most promising remote fan entertainment startups, ‘Seyu – Together for Victory!’.

In terms of the partnership, the service which was launched in mid 2018 in Hungary and now seeked globally by sport organizers and clubs, will be supported by the most successful motor racer of Hungary. Talmácsi takes up a role as a strategic business development advisor and helps Seyu to enter the international motorsport market.

Just a few weeks after the official announcement that Dorna will organize MotoGP races in Hungary from 2023 on a newly build racing ring, the Talmácsi Management joined another promising project. The remote fan engagement and entertainment specialist company has partnered up with the motoracing icon and his team to enhance Seyu’s market expansion in international motorsport. In addition to discovering new sales opportunities, they also count on the racer’s decades of experience in business development, so the solution can be expanded with features that are specifically focused on motorsport fans.

“Innovation, motivation and team spirit are essential in motorsport. I am proud to work together with a company which is developing a fan experience of the future. I am extremely happy to represent Seyu in motorsport!” – said Gábor Talmácsi in connection with the project.

The Hungarian sporttech ecosystem is gathering momentum

The SportTech Hungary program, launched with the purpose to assist Hungarian sport tech startups in entering the international market, also played an important role in the cooperation between the two parties. They are both participating in the project launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and HEPA in 2020 as an athlete ambassador, and Seyu as a startup. They have now announced one of the first comprehensive collaborations that will raise the business relationship between Hungarian athletes and sporttech companies to an even higher level beyond the program.

“We believe that skills gained in elite sports, such as the competition spirit, perseverance, being able to deal with either winning or losing, can also be essential in business. Gábor Talmácsi brings a fresh eye to our team not only with his international experience and network, but also with his mentality, and we hope that this will generate many tangible business successes for our company”, added Tamás Vecsernyés, CEO of Seyu Solutions.
